President’s Circle

Objective
The President’s Circle will be a network of President’s from all current participants of the Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans (CAPA) annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival. It will provide a forum for members to share successes, leverage learnings, and facilitate peer-to-peer coalition and partnership building.

Membership
Membership is by invitation only and not transferable. Must be current President, or equivalent (i.e. Executive Director), of a participating organization of the Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival. Period of service is verified by election results or other substantiation. Membership exception is for sponsoring organizations, which can be represented by that organizations sponsoring representative. There is no cost for membership. In the case of Co- Presidents or Co-Executive Directors, both are invited.

Frequency of meetings
President’s Circle will meet at a minimum of two times a year organized by CAPA. A January gathering will be held for members to 1. recap prior year activities, including successes and learnings, 2. inform membership of upcoming calendar year initiatives, and 3. ask fellow members for support. Members are encouraged to offer their offices as a meeting location. A May gathering will be held at the annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival. A President’s Circle tent, or separate gathering area, will be set up to facilitate networking amongst members and share updates on activities. A third optional gathering will be held in the Fall at the discretion of members. Additional meetings can be initiated by members on their own. Meetings will be limited to one member from each participating organization. In the case of Co- Presidents or Co-Executive Directors, only one can participate at meetings.

This new forum will provide you with an invaluable resource within the community and help you build on your organization’s achievements.
