About CAPA
The Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans (CAPA) is a New York-based advocacy organization dedicated to addressing the community needs of the Asian/Asian American community. We work with more than 100+ organizations and individuals in 3 states that serve Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders, Native Hawaiians, refugees and immigrants nationwide.
Since 1979, CAPA has brought together some of the most sophisticated and active community development agencies, social service providers, national organizations, advocates and organizers to the Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival.
We promote peer-to-peer learning, help link APA organizations and resources, and pool the leadership abilities of Asian Americans. CAPA has developed strategic partnerships with intermediaries, financial institutions, policymakers, immigrant workers rights and other social change movements to create a platform to change politics and deliver community resources.
